• Power Plus Pumps have Super-Efficient, Single Phase Baldor motors with extra reserve power, and warranted for 1 to 3 years by Baldor.

• All Power Plus Pumps have Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled motors - TEFC motors are made to last longer

  • TEFC motors are $30 to $50 more expensive than Open Drip Proof - ODP motors.

    • Cheaper ODP motors have large openings at the bottom of the motor where bugs, mice, snakes, and other varmits can enter

  • TEFC motors have a fan mounted on the rear shaft under a fan cowling to keep the motor cooler and lengthen its life.

• Frame 56 motors

  • Frame 56 motors are $40 to $100 more expensive because they are larger in diameter than the smaller frame 48 motors

  • A larger diameter means more heat dissipation for a longer life
